Ashlyn Knesek, Psy.D., HSPP, is a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Indiana who provides therapy services for individuals of all ages, as well as families. Dr. Knesek treats various emotional and behavioral health difficulties such as ADHD, depression, anxiety, and OCD. She specializes in working with children and adolescents. Dr. Knesek’s primary goal is to work collaboratively with each individual or family to help improve day-to-day life experiences.
Much of Dr. Knesek’s graduate school education, teaching experience, and clinical work has centered around evidenced-based treatment, specifically, but not limited to cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and exposure therapy. She also has education and training using “third wave CBT” modalities, such as mindfulness. Additionally, Dr. Knesek is competent in utilizing cognitive behavioral play therapy in work with young children, and frequently utilizes behavioral modification techniques in her work with parents and their children.
Dr. Knesek completed her graduate education at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She trained at highly regarded hospitals in Chicago and completed an APA accredited internship and Post Doctoral Fellowship at the University of Michigan.
